For nearly two years, I had no real problems with the way things were in the BtVS community. Compared to a lot of the more entrenched fandoms, Buffydom was pretty laid back and easy going. On fanfic lists, you could read a whole array for different fics...from unconventional to conventional...good writers to great writers to writers that were just learning their trade. Slash and hetero fic sat side by side with virtually no controversy.

I wish I could still say the same thing.
