Unfortunately for her, she become one of those abductees herself and ended up in the Delta Quadrant floating aimlessly while in stasis in a derelict unknown spaceship. Out of the four humans in stasis, she was the only one to survive.
On Voyager, after a lengthy cram session consisting of 400 years of history, technology, psychology as well as a Starfleet class taught by Commander Tuvok, Anne becomes the ship's counselor.
